Acorn to Oak Therapy Practice
Privacy Policy (Summary)
I am committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This page provides an overview of how your information is used within Acorn to Oak Therapy Practice.
I collect personal information such as your name, contact details, and relevant health information when you contact me or engage in therapy. This information is used to provide safe, ethical, and effective counselling, maintain accurate records, and meet professional and legal requirements.
Your data is stored securely. Electronic records are password-protected and encrypted, and paper records are kept in a locked cabinet. While I take all reasonable steps to protect your information, email communication is not fully secure.
Everything discussed in therapy is confidential, except where there is risk of serious harm, safeguarding concerns, or a legal obligation to share information. Client work may be discussed anonymously in supervision for professional support.
If you choose not to proceed with therapy after making an enquiry, your information will be securely deleted within 3 months.
You have rights under UK GDPR, including access to your data, correction, and the ability to request deletion where appropriate.
For full details on how your information is used and stored, please see the full Privacy Notice below or contact me directly.
